Born and raised in Calgary, Eric made the decision to move his advisory practice to Scotia Wealth Management in the spring of 2011. Prior to his move, he was an Investment Advisor at two large independent investment management firms, and a retail banker at a major international bank.
Eric holds a Bachelor of Applied Financial Services degree through a combined education from Mount Royal University and Lingnan University in Hong Kong.
He had been honoured by the Hong Kong Canadian Business Association (HKCBA) with an award for excellence in International Studies and Rookie of the Year (Scotia Wealth Management).
He believes that volunteering is the rent you pay for the space you occupy in your community — mainly volunteering through the Rotary Club of Calgary, working on many local and international projects. (He is also involved with the Canadian Cancer Society, Elizabeth Fry, Enviros, and Operation Eyesight Universal) and also mentors university students through the Harry G. Schaeffer Mentorship program at MRU since 2014.
In his spare time he loves to travel and explore the world. He also enjoys hiking, golf, snowboarding, rock-climbing, cross-country skiing, scuba diving and hanging out with his soul mate (and his dog Bella!).
